Our client specialises in the provision of geotechnical and contaminated land ground investigation and related consultancy services throughout the UK. Due to their continued growth and high workload, they are seeking to recruit a full time experienced geo-environmental engineer/geologist to work with their team of Geotechnical Engineers, Engineering Geologists and Environmental Specialists.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years broad and in-depth experience in the UK geo-environmental/contaminated land sector, preferably with experience in both ground investigation and consultancy business environments. The candidate should have specific experience in and understanding of the development of conceptual models, the design, specification and undertaking of investigation works, review of data and scheduling of geotechnical and chemical testing, together with associated assessments, factual and interpretative report writing, development of remediation strategies and subsequent validation, basic geotechnical design and regulatory liaison. Although good report writing is a key part of the role requirement, the candidate will still be expected to undertake ground investigation site work on projects that they are involved in. They should have an appropriate earth sciences first degree and ideally a specialist Masters degree in an appropriate subject and will have a current UK driving licence.
This permanent position would be based in their Warwick office and involve a minimum of 37.5 hours per week. A competitive salary, commensurate with qualifications and experience would be offered. Twenty-five days holiday per year (+Bank Holidays), a contributory workplace pension scheme and life insurance cover are also provided.
