Vacancy: Assistant Engineering Geologist/Geo-Environmental Engineer.
Our client is an experienced multi-disciplinary team of structural, civil and geotechnical engineers and have a vacancy for an Assistant Engineering Geologist/Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their expanding team.
Location: Northampton
Attributes and Key kills:
• 2 years minimum experience in the industry
• UK drivers’ licence and own transport
• Degree in Geology, engineering geology or environmental science
• Be able to carry out site contamination assessments from Stage1 Tier one to Stage 3
• Be able to undertake geotechnical and geo-environmental site investigations.
• Competent in soil and rock logging to BS5930
• Able to schedule contamination, waste classification and geotechnical testing.
• Be proficient in writing desk studies and interpretive GIR
• Be able to carry out the design of remediation works and validation.
• Have strong technical report writing and clear verbal communication skills.
• Be proficient in MS Office skills.
Experience of EIA process and reporting would be an advantage.
